I am a professor of School of Computer Science and Engineering at Northeastern University, China. During my Ph. D. study, I spent 2.5 years working under supervision of Prof. Lixin Gao at University of Massachusetts Amherst as a visiting Ph.D. student (Aug. 2009 - Apr. 2012). I also worked as a visiting scholar in Prof. Xiaodong Zhang’s group at Ohio State University (Dec. 2016 - Dec. 2017).

I am leading iDC-NEU group where many enthusiastic and talented students work together. My research interest focuses on building data systems including database systems, graph processing systems, and systems for AI. I am also working with several industry groups (Huawei’s GaussDB, Alibaba Damo Academy’s GraphScope, Ant’s TuGraph, and so on) targeting on solving real problems.
